Matt is a parent of an Ipswich Junior Sailing Race Team sailor and joined the IJS Board in 2024.  He is an IBYC member and lives in Topsfield with his wife, Lisa, and four children.  Matt grew up in Winthrop as part of a sailing and boating family at Cottage Park Yacht Club where his love of sailing and boating began at a young age.  He was motivated to volunteer and join the IJS Board after seeing all the positive impacts this unique sailing program provides for all levels of sailors who are looking to learn the basic art of sailing, to develop leadership skills, or simply growing a deeper appreciation of nature and our oceans.
