IJS Hosts Annual Greenhead Regatta 2022

In case you were wondering about the youth sailing activities on Friday, July 15th at the club, IJS hosted the annual Greenhead Regatta which brought together five different youth sailing clubs from around Ipswich Bay —Sandy Bay, Essex Bay, Manchester, Annisquam and, of course, the home club. The turnout of over 40 sailors and coaches in two sailboat classes — Optimist and 420 — was one of the largest regattas hosted by IJS in recent memory. Ipswich Junior Sailors performed well with one IJS 420 (sailed by Will Coughlin and Charlie Carner) placing third. A good time was had by all and we thank the IBYC for accommodating our sailors and coaches.
